It's a standard cable that doesn't get tangled easily but is of course not as thick and good as a braided cable. The cable is compatible with the IE80S and you can convert it to a standard cabled version of the IE80S even if you only have the Bluetooth version. In fact, it makes more sense to get the IE80S BT and then get such a cable to have the best of both worlds. However, the only think that's lacking is the ear hooks that normally come with the standard IE80S. I was hoping that the ear hooks would also be included in the box with the cable but I was disappointed. Therefore, only 4 stars until Sennheiser sends me free ear hooks :P
